Missions are a very important part of our Church’s ministry. Our support for missions comes in various forms of resources for community, state, national and global projects. This page provides a look at some of the Missions in which our Church has participated.

Baptist Children’s Homes: we support the Men’s and Women’s Homes and provide ministry opportunities for their residents.

Bread Basket: FBC and serves lunch the first Tuesday of every month. Meals on Wheels: FBC covers the routes on Wednesdays.

Bread of Life: FBC provides a meal quarterly

BT Bullock: FBC has adopted this elementary school and provides various supplies and support, plus a beginning and ending event to start and end the school year. We also support the Lee County New Teachers with a luncheon in August each year.

Boy Scout Troop 941: FBC provides a place to meet and supports the troop in many ways. Scouts do Scout Sunday once a year.

Bloodmobile: FBC hosts the Red Cross Bloodmobile on the second Tuesday of each month..

Hurricane Relief: FBC sends out a team to help rebuild areas in NC that have been hit by hurricanes.

Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast/Day of Prayer: FBC hosts this event on a rotating basis

Salvation Army: FBC supports this organization in many ways: financially, co-teaching Jobs for Life, bell ringing, JOY Program.

Mission Team: Each summer about 35 members go to a small town in the coal mining areas of Kentucky and Tennessee to help with Kids in the Park, plus construction work on family homes.

Homeless Ministries in Lee : PIT Count (counting the homeless), hygiene kits, blankets, food plus the local shelters: Bread of Life, Haven, Family Promise, Outreach Mission Men’s and Women’s Shelters

Prayer Shawl Ministry: meets first Monday of the month to kit prayer shawls for those who are sick or in poor health

Prayer Team: Meets each Tuesday to pray for requests and send out cards.
